ROOM http://img4.realsimple.com/images/home-organizing/cleaning/0604/family-room_300.jpg Room is the basic area for a housekeeping personnel to receive training . The class of the room in the hotel mostly depends on the structure of the hotel itself. The classification of the hotel rooms is often used not so much for the indication of comfort, as for the reflection of the number of beds. You can safely say that the general standard for the internationa l hotel business today is a single room. Tourist, staying in it, can count on the separate bathroom, wardrobe, TV set. WI-FI connection to the Internet is a default option practically in all the rooms of new hotels.Depending on the host country and the status of the hotel a standard room can have additional functions and features. For example, in many  hotels in Britain  washstands with the separate faucet for cold and hot water can be found. In Chine the standard set for the bathroom includes a hairbrush, a toothbrush and paste. Thereby the standard set for the bathroom in the world hotel industry includes soap, towels for body and hands and, of late, a shower gel.In addition to the standard room, the world classification distinguishes more than 30 different types of rooms. The type of the hotel room can depend on the view from the window, the number and the size of rooms, the quality of furniture, the content of mini-bar and the availability of office equipment. In addition to the classification of rooms there is a classification of accommodation. There are also a lot of options: from a double room, where three or more people can stay, to accommodation with children or in the separate cabin on the territory of the hotel. Both the room types and the accommodation types have alphabetic acronyms, primarily in English. For example, BO stands for bed only and means that meals are not included. An abbreviation SV (sea view) in the description of the room means that you will be able to observe the sea through your window. These are the types of room Deluxe Deluxe rooms one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel. Deluxe (De luxe) the word is from the French language, literally can be high class Standard Standard or single room is a classic of hotel business. A single room in any hotel plays a role of its own currency. Suite Suite is a hotel room with an improved design. Suites are often similar in size to a standard room, but the quality of design remains good HOTEL LOBBY http://www.empresshotels.com/img/empress-hotel-lobby.jpg Hotel lobby plays an important role in housekeeping because that is the first place guest will see in the entrance of the hotel . Other than that , guest can actually rest while waiting their reservation to be proceses . The lobby should be kept clean regularly , the chairs and table should be wiped and the floor should be mopped . Lobby also can be called as foyer or entrance hall . Many  office buildings,  hotels  and  skyscrapers  go to great lengths to decorate their lobbies to create the right impression. Since the mid 1980s there has been a growing trend to think of lobbies as more than just ways to get from the door to the  elevator, but instead as social spaces and places of commerce.  Some research has even been done to develop scales to measure lobby atmosphere in order to improve hotel lobby design. Many places that offer public services, such as a doctors office, use their lobbies as more of a waiting room for the people waiting for a certain service. In the se types of lobbies it is common for there to be comfortable furniture, such as couches and lounge chairs, so that the customer will be able to wait in comfort. Also, there may be television sets, books, and/or magazines to help the customer pass time as they wait to be served . In the end the lobby should be kept clean to bring in more income . HOTEL WASHROOM http://s3.amazonaws.com/atimg/82961/HazeltonHotel_rect540.jpg Hotel washroom should be kept clean so that it would create a good impression to the customer . The housekeeping department is responsible to ensure that these place are kept clean and tidy .a washroom can be a single unit featuring a toilet and  hand basin  for hand washing. washroom can also be larger facilities, which may include bathing facilities or showers,  changing rooms  and baby facilities.washroom may be stand alone buildings or installations, or be contained within buildings such as  railway stations, schools,  bars,  restaurants, nightclubs  or  filling stations. washroom can also be found on some  public transport  vehicles, for use by passengers. washroom are usually fixed facilities, but can also refer to smaller public  portable toilets, or larger public portable toilets constructed as  portable buildings.washroom are commonly separated by  gender  into male and female facilities, although some can be  unisex, particularly the smaller o r single occupancy types. Both male and female toilets may incorporate toilet cubicles, while many male toilets also feature  urinals. Increasingly, public toilets incorporate  accessible toilets  and features to cater for people with  disabilities.washroom may be unattended or be staffed by a  janitor  (possibly with a separate room), or  attendant, provided by the  local authority  or the owner of the larger building. In many cultures it is customary to  tip  the attendant, while other public toilets may charge a small  fee  for entrance, sometimes through use of a coin operated  turnstile . BUDGET HOTEL http://www.hotelbeursstraat.nl/images/budget_hotel_amsterdam.jpg Budget hotel provides a cheap yet a comfortable place to stay . What Is History Essay

History is looking at others perspective, point of view, understanding what they thought was okay and not okay. Evidence is cruel in history. Without evidence historians would not have known what happened. In an historical event such as Columbus and his men, and some people may be very bias to what he did, but what he did do to these people are not Okay, and would never in a million years pass in this century. Over a million Taint Indians killed, murdered, raped, shipped into slavery.Without Columbus journal and is men and the priest journal, we would probably not really know what happen and how cruel he was to these people that welcomed and showed Him and His Men the land. A historical account would be that would still think he is an amazing person, that did great and wonderful things, but in reality he didn't. Of course everything is selective or omitted, like when we were writing our biography or interviewing our parents, they would not want someone to know every detail. What if th ey were doing something they didn't want a trainer or their children or child to know? But how could we if the primary source story is reliable? That's when we go to secondary sources. When there are two different stories we could go to witnesses or friends that were there with them. In history, the audience is who writes the books, tells the stories, and passes on the knowledge from their grandparents or parents to their children and they pass it on to their children.

Analysis of the Ethics of Milgram’s and Burger’s Obedience...

Stanley Milgram’s (1963) study of behavioral obedience sought to understand the nature that drives humans to submit to destructive obedience. In his study, Milgram deceived his subject volunteers into believing that the experiment they were submitting themselves to involved learning about the effects of punishment on learning. Under this pretext, a subject â€Å"teacher† was to administer electric shocks to a confederate â€Å"learner† for every wrong answer in a word-pairing exercise. The subject was to administer shocks in increments, even when the learner protested. The experimenter’s role was to pressure the subjects to continue when they wanted to stop (Milgram, 1963). In doing so, Milgram sought to gauge what it is that influences his subjects†¦show more content†¦377). More so, Milgram’s disclosure that the money was theirs to keep regardless of experimental circumstances was ambiguous and presented without context, providing virtual ly no substance for the subject to make an informed choice. Their lack of full comprehension denies the subjects treatment as an autonomous being, a guideline mandated in the Belmont Report (1979, Section B, 1). The subject’s full right for respect of their deliberation and self-determination was hindered by their lack of full comprehension of the circumstances they were subjecting to. As a human being, they had the right to be exempt from the arbitrary exercise of authority Milgram was practicing, which subjected them to unhealthy levels of stress. 5. In his experiment, Burger addressed the issue of informed consent by ensuring the subject’s full comprehension of their available options. Whereas Milgram simply mentioned to the subjects that the money was theirs to keep regardless of the occurrences during the experiment, Burger made his statements less ambiguous by informing the participants both verbally and in writing that they were able to discontinue the study at any time and still receive their $50 for participating (Burger, 2009, p. 4). Burger paid his subjects prior to commencing his experiment, unlike Milgram who simply told them the

Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) is an information...

Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) is an information infrastructure providing access and enabling interoperability among spatial information based on standards, policies, regulations and coordination mechanisms (Groot R, 1997). The methods for creating SDI undergone radical changes in the recent years like the shift from the product-led model or data-producer-led model to process-led model or data-user model, etc. However, there are some limitations challenging the SDI growth like the lack of standards to handle linked geospatial data, etc. The goal of this essay is to detail the concepts for the creation of an improved SDI in the year 2019. The intended SDI integrates the existing developments in the field to the relevant emerging trends†¦show more content†¦For example, services like WFS will now be Software as a Service (SaaS) as they offer functionality, such as spatio-temporal query. Similarly, processing services like WPS (Web processing Services) where the computation resources are provided via PaaS (Platform as a Service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service). The benefits of using a cloud computing infrastructure from a networking perspective are standardized service interfaces between different clouds; the existing publish-find-bind pattern for service interaction can be reused. The SDI can incorporate data mining techniques that would help in creation of geospatial or aspatial relationships between data based on the ontology or geographic information. This would help recognize patterns in data and help us to find auxiliary information. †¢ People The future SDI would encourage the participation of public sector like government agencies, private sector like companies and citizens (Internet users). To increase the awareness of this SDI, there is some functionality in the SDI that benefits directly the end user and increases the ease of participation, like providing a set of applications related to day-to-day life. Who Is The Quarterback - 1478 Words

Think Before You Drink Tim was the quarterback for his school and had led them to state in football. They had won their game on Thursday to go to state and had the first round game on Saturday and were predicted to win. His class decided to have a bonfire to celebrate at his friend’s house after the win on Thursday. Everyone was there and having a good time when the alcohol came out. Tim and his football friends decided to drink to celebrate. He drank some beers and had drank out of a bottle of vodka that was being passed around. It was about one in the morning when he decided to drive home when he was drunk. He decided to take that gravels home to avoid the cops. He was driving when he hit loose gravel and lost control. He slid sideways then hit a ditch and rolled his car multiple times into a field. He wakes up in the hospital bed with a broken are and many broken ribs and a concussion. Although many teens think it is fun to drink it can affect their body, sports, school work and driving. Because many teens think it is fun to drink they don’t realize the effects on their body at a young age. Jim was an avid binge drinker from 16 till he was 21. He never thought about the effects on his body and how it could lead to death. He would drink with all his friends on the weekends and during the summer when he didn’t have school. Perspectives on Divorce Free Essays

There are many parts of the brain that effect the way we live and act every single day. There is the frontal lobe which controls planning, organizing, coordinating and controls movements, reasoning and the overall thinking process. I have used my frontal lobe today when I decided to write this essay, and how I was going to set it up. We will write a custom essay sample on Perspectives on Divorce or any similar topic only for you Order Now There is the temporal lobe which controls hearing. I used this today when I listened to my Ipod in the halls. There is the cerebellum which controls balance, movement, and coordination. I used this today when I tried to dance during lunch (key word tried†¦.. ). There is also the occipital lobe which controls vision. I used this today when I read a book during English. The possibly most important part of the brain is the medulla, which controls vital functions. I used this today when I had to go from the first floor to the third floor, and I had to catch my breath. When people say â€Å"your eyes don’t see, your nose doesn’t smell, your tongue doesn’t taste, your ears don’t hear, and your skin doesn’t touch; your brain does it all† they are saying although we associate all of those senses with their respective body part really we cant see, touch, taste and so on without our brain first processing it and telling our bodies what is going on. 2) The psychoanalytical perspective says someone may get a divorce because their parents had gotten a divorce, so that’s what the have seen is normal. This perspective says that many behaviors are based on childhood experiences. If someone grew up with divorced parents, they would see that that is an acceptable way to live their life and not see a problem with it. Also, the psychoanalytical perspective looks at the impulses and desires of a person, someone might get a divorce because their ID tells them they want to have multiple partners, and not want to be in a committed relationship. The behavioristic perspective is based on rewards and punishments. Based on this theory someone may get a divorce because they might be punished by staying in of the relationship. Their parents may not be a fan of their spouse, and may threaten to cut them off communications and write them out of the will if they stay in the relationship. The person may find this a deal they cant turn down, so they would divorce their partner in order to stay in the good graces of their family. The biological perspective looks at the brain as the reason people make decisions. They would say that there is a chemical imbalance in the brain, therefore the person cannot stay happily in their marriage. They could also say that the person has depression, due to an imbalance of serotonin, and could not be happy with their spouse, so they would need to get treated, or continue perusing the divorce. The cognitive perspective believes that divorce would be based on the individuals unique thinking process. The person may have unclear thoughts on their spouse, and cannot figure out what they want in their marriage. The cognitive perspective would not blame any external forces, they would simply say their brain told them to, so they did. They might also say their brain does not make good judgment, and at the time of the marriage there was a lapse in judgment. The humanistic perspective would say the person needed personal growth, and was tied down in the marriage. The person would see themselves happier without being with their spouse. They would say that the person simply wanted to get a divorce, so they did, and wouldn’t add much more to it than that. The sociocultural perspective would say that the divorce rate in America is 51%, so the person sees it culturally acceptable to get a divorce. They would say they have seen so many of their peers getting divorced, it seems normal. So they might not work to work out their problems, they just get a divorce because that’s what over half of America is doing. Eclecticism is an approach that uses more than one theory to explain how or why something happens. This idea would be beneficial to describing human behavior because there are many contributing factors in peoples decision making. They might do something for multiple reasons, using divorce as an example, a person might have grown up in a divorced home, but they also might have a cheating spouse, and a chemical imbalance in the brain. Their reason for divorce can’t simply be explained by the psychoanalytic, behavioristic, or biological perspective. But when you use all of the perspectives together you can get a clear understanding of why they got a divorce. Human behavior cannot be explained with only one perspective because there are many contributing factors to the decisions people make. How to cite Perspectives on Divorce, Papers

Promoting Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Essay Example For Students

Promoting Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Essay Promoting Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Essay in mathematics education is crucial in the development of successful students. Critical thinking and problem solving go hand in hand. In order for students to learn mathematics through problem solving, they must also learn how to think critically. Critical thinking has not been at the forefront of teaching strategies in schools. Teachers need to see the importance and the need to begin promoting these key strategies. Critical thinking is such an important aspect for children to learn in school. Many adults today have no idea on how to think critically. This is very sad because thinking critically can broaden your mind and give you such a feeling of intelligence and self-confidence. It used to be that teachers just taught material and gave the answers without any explanation of how the answer can to be. The reason they never gave an explanation was because they were never taught to think critically or even if they were, teaching critical thinking is a lot harder than just giving students the answer. We, as future teachers, need to take our job seriously and not always try to find the easy way out when it comes to teaching material. We need to realize the importance of critical thinking and not put it on the back burner. Another reason that many adults today do not think critically is that many educators have believed that only certain students are capable of thinking critically. Critical thinking strategies are usually only taught to the advanced students or the college prep students. Those students with lower grades and in vocational programs are not expected to use these strategies and therefore they are not introduced to them. This is very upsetting because everyone needs to learn these strategies. Critical thinking strategies are not only for the intelligent in an academic setting. These strategies can be used in everyday life. They can be used for finances, relationships, and even in life choices. People lacking these critical thinking strategies can be very impulsive and make a lot of choices that end up hurting them in many ways. I read an article by Thomas Sowell called Justice and Injustice. I really enjoyed this article because he emphasized how children on welfare have only about half as many words directed at them as children of working-class families and less than one-third as many words as children whose parents are professionals. He also noted how painful this is because scientists have found that the physical development of the brain is affected by how much interaction young children receive. This then links critical thinking with social and economic status. If educators continue to show higher expectations for more well-off students and lower expectations for others than we will never be able to help a child off welfare or give every child the chance and ability to succeed. Another article I read was entitled Intolerance is a Beautiful Thing. I am not sure who wrote it, but it is a wonderful article that promotes critical thinking on the subject of tolerance. The author claims that the original meaning of the word tolerance has changed. The old meaning was the acknowledgement of the views, beliefs and others that differ from ones own. The new meaning is viewing all values, beliefs, lifestyles, and truth claims as equal. The author goes on to say how the meaning excludes Christianity because that religion is exclusive and believes that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. So by the new meaning of the word tolerance, Christians are intolerant even though they acknowledge and respect others regardless of race, gender and religion. To the author, intolerance is a beautiful thing. This article really made me critically think about how society views tolerance. I had to think about the points made in this article and reflect on my knowledge and past experiences with the word tolerance. .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 , .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .postImageUrl , .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 , .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446:hover , .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446:visited , .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446:active { border:0!important; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446:active , .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446 .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u4c8a775d4beea732508cbaf154684446:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Kundera and Friedlander Essay In 2000, the NCTMs Principals and Standards document stated: Solving problems is not only a goal of learning mathematics but also a major means of doing so.
